We apologize for the delay in bringing you this update about the Born to Kill expansion and we thank you for your immense patience. As we predicted in the last update and mentioned under your comments, it took us a good while to get to the bottom of the issue, to methodically go over the entire production & shipping process, and to meticulously check the numbers involved in Born to Kill expansion missing from some of your pledges.

We made two errors during the aforementioned process, errors that could’ve been avoided had we taken better care of double-checking and tracking certain aspects of Purple Haze’s production. Two elements contributed to Born to Kill’s maldistribution and some of the pledges missing that expansion entirely: first, it was the human error (made by me, Adrian), second, it was a system error i.e. the system did not detect that Born to Kill was missing. Yes, we have seen comments from backers concerning Born to Kill, however, what backers see in their pledge order is not the same as what is on the shipping list, i.e. shipping lists are further supplemented with additional items, if any, and hence more prone to errors.

What will happen now is this: all English version backers will receive their pledges now, however, some of them will not contain Born to Kill expansions. We already have a list of those of you who will not receive them now, so you don’t have to contact us if you discover that your pledge is missing Born to Kill. That is to say, everyone on the list will receive their Born to Kill box as soon as it is available.

Born to Kill is an expansion that concludes the storyline, offering the final missions for those who wish to experience the entire campaign as a cohesive narrative. (For more details, please visit:

Why is it not available already? The two errors we mentioned earlier ended up in miscalculating the number of Born to Kill boxes that needed to be printed. In other words, we didn’t print enough Born to Kill expansions. Once we discovered and confirmed that, we immediately contacted the printing house. We received a quick reply: the printing house will start printing the missing boxes soon, and they will be available for pick up and shipping after the Chinese New Year (which ends in early February). That means we will be able to send the missing Born to Kill copies sometime around April/May.

We are extremely sorry for the entire situation, and me personally in particular. This shouldn’t have happened and we fully understand your disappointment. We know this won’t make up for anything, but we are now establishing new protocols and making the system less prone to errors so that such a situation will never happen again in the future.
